One of the biggest issues that many people face with taking a lot of supplements is swallowing the pills themselves! Up to 15 million adults in the U.S. suffer with dysphagia, which is the medical term for difficulty swallowing. There’s a wide range of reasons why someone may struggle with swallowing pills especially. But beyond limitations with health conditions, strong aversion alone can be a valid enough reason for many people to struggle with larger pills despite knowing the value in taking them.

Our prenatal is formulated to meet the needs of women who are changing their diet and supplement schedule to support the growth of a healthy fetus. Prenatals supply micronutrients in amounts far higher than the average person requires. Your body may not benefit from larger doses and thus expel what it isn’t using, therefore, a full scoop becomes wasteful.*
However, there may be times in your life due to increased athletic training, injury or illness where your nutrient requirements are elevated, mindful adjustments to your supplement schedule should be made to support your body.
What you need to be most aware of in order to know how much Nourish+ you should be using is that nutrition is highly individualized. Since we cannot prescribe a specific supplement and dosage on an individual basis, we encourage you to work with your doctor to make sure that you’re consuming the right amounts for your personal needs. But we do have some tips for you to assist in the decision making process.*
Primarily look at the overall quality of your nutrition on average. Are you someone who eats a well-balanced diet with lots of food variety (especially fruits and veggies) daily, and even uses VePro as part of their daily supplement routine? The micronutrients we’ve included in VePro are a rough equivalent to about one third of a standard multivitamin. So with this, you may only need 1/3 of a scoop of Nourish+. But maybe you have less variety, perhaps more processed foods, and aren’t using VePro, then you may want to use 1/2 scoop of our prenatal to support your needs.*
Talking with your doctor is going to be the best course of action with any supplement addition. You may have deficiencies and not realize that on your own, it isn’t always perfectly obvious without proper testing. You may have genetic variants that limit your absorption of certain vitamins. MTHFR is a common issue for many people and this requires they use methylated B vitamins in order to meet their nutrient needs for their own best health. But this is one reason why we have decided to go with some methylated B vitamins in Nourish+, Baseline+, and VePro. This still may not be enough for each individual person. We encourage you to take charge of your health and support your immune system in the best ways possible.*
